Passage

Luke 11:1-13

One of the most fascinating aspects of Jesus' life on earth was His dependency on His heavenly Father reflected in prayer. If Jesus felt the need to pray, how much more do we need it? Daniel Henderson put it well when he wrote, "prayerlessness is our declaration of independence from God." (Transforming Prayer, p.17)

In today's passage, Jesus was praying and it spawned a request from one of the disciples to teach them to pray. What followed was some comprehensive teaching on prayer from the Master.

1. The __________ of prayer, v. 1

2. The __________ of prayer, vv. 2-4

3. The __________ on prayer, vv. 5-8

4. The __________ of prayer, vv. 9-13
