Philippians 1:1-11

The Christian life is a journey. What better way to travel this path than to have someone travel it with you? Whether it's a spouse, parent, friend, or ministry partner, having another person join you in the journey lightens the load and brightens the path. There was a reason Jesus sent out His disciples in teams of two (Luke 10:1). The book of Philippians was written to a church that has a special place in Paul's heart. They were truly his partners in the ministry of the gospel, and, even though Paul was writing from prison, their partnership did not diminish. In greeting his teammates, Paul modeled four crucial elements in any spiritual partnership.

1. View your teammates properly, 1:1

2. Esteem your teammates highly, 1:2-6.

3. Love your teammates deeply, 1:7-8.

4. Pray for your teammates effectively, 1:9-11

Is your service for Christ draining? It might be because you are going it alone! Ask God for a partner in ministry.
