John 1:19-37

The late Christian evangelist and author, Leonard Ravenhill, in his book Why Revival Tarries, observed that most Christians are so subnormal that when a normal one comes along, he or she looks abnormal!

So what does a “normal” Christian look like? In John chapter one, following the profound introductory verses of the prologue, we encounter early disciples of Jesus who show six qualities of being a follower of Jesus.
Today we will discover the qualities that relate to John the Baptist.

• The discovery of a follower of Jesus — identifying your spiritual purpose, vv. 19-34.
• The dedication of a follower of Jesus — switching allegiance from the good to the Best, vv. 35-37.

“Good, better, best — never let it rest, until your good is better, and your best is best.”
