John 14:18-24

One of the greatest truths of our salvation is the union of the believer with Christ. Lewis Sperry Chafer wrote: "To be in Christ, which is the position of all who are saved, is to partake of all that Christ has done, all that He is, and all that He will ever be.

By means of seven simple words with one syllable each, Jesus spoke the most profound salvation truth ever uttered,        ". . .you in Me, and I in you" (John 14:20). These words express the profound truth of our supernatural union.

The experience of our supernatural union, vv. 18-20

The expectations of our supernatural union, v. 21

The exclusiveness of our supernatural union, vv. 22-24

This truth should produce in us two responses:

A thrilling reponse -- I am His; He is mine.

A chilling response -- Wherever I go, whatever I do or say, He is there.
