Having confronted the church at Corinth with their abuses of the Lord's Supper (vv. 17-22), the Apostle launched into the real meaning of this ordinance of the church. The best way to confront error is with the truth! This passage closes the section of 1 Corinthians of "Doing Everything in Love Maximizes Interpersonal Harmony."
