Pastor Larry grew up in a Christian home in Loves Park, IL, and was saved at age seven. He graduated from Tennessee Temple University in 1977 with a B.S. in secondary education. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Temple Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He joined the RC3 pastoral team as senior pastor in June 1996 having served churches in Tennessee and Florida.
Larry and his wife, Mary, have three adult children: David (Randi), Rachel (Isaiah Haynie), and Rebekah (Gabe Hinerman). They love being Pops & Gigi to Zane & Dax (Haynie), Charlotte, Savannah & Magnolia (Hinerman), and Quinn, Blake, Kyler, & Kelson (Greene). Larry enjoys playing with his grandchildren, watching any sport, and eating pie--preferably all at the same time!
