John 7:14-36

Jesus left His home region of Galilee for the last time to attend the Feast of the Tabernacles. He came to Jerusalem incognito (v. 10) probably so as not to stir up a premature Triumphal Entry because His “time had not yet come” (v. 6). That was six months away.

In the middle of the week-long celebration, Jesus made Himself known (v. 14). In doing so, He initiated a series of four punches and counterpunches that made up round two of the Battle of the Booths.

• The first exchange revolved around Jesus’ teaching, vv. 14-19.
• The second exchange revolved around Jesus’ working, vv. 20-24.
• The third exchange revolved around Jesus’ coming, vv. 25-29.
• The fourth exchange revolved around Jesus’ going, vv. 30-36.

Are you willing to do His will so as to know the truth?
