Prayer Ministry

River Cities Church believes the truth of the Scripture found in James 5:16, "The prayer of a righteous man/woman is powerful and effective." A.J. Gordon said, "You can do more than pray AFTER you have prayed, but you can never do more than pray UNTIL you have prayed." We have many opportunities for you to be involved in corporate prayer at RC3.

Our Prayer Partner Ministry began many years ago applying the principle from the account in Exodus 17:8-13 when Aaron and Hur held up Moses' arms while Israel was in battle. This ministry spiritually supports our Senior Pastor as he brings God's message to the people of RC3 each week.

The Pray for Me Campaign seeks to rally the people of God around our middle school and high school students through the catalyst of prayer. It takes just five minutes a day to make a lasting impact in the life of a student.

We want to show our community that we care by praying for their needs when we offer Drive-Thru Prayer. This unique outreach offers prayer with those who "drive-thru" our main parking lot.

Tri-State Prayer Line is open 24/7 for you to call with your prayer burden. You can also become a prayer volunteer, giving two hours a week to be a compassionate, listening ear and share a much-needed prayer with someone. Training is available online.

Prayer Groups meet regularly to pray for the physical and spiritual needs of the body of Christ at RC3. Our Elders, having the spiritual oversight of this congregation, meet weekly to pray for our members. Small Groups make prayer an important part of each meeting.
