Pastor Scott Duncan will lead our church mission team of 21 people to the San Jose area of Costa Rica where we will work with local church members to offer free water filters and share the gospel.
Almost a billion people around the world do not have access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. 4,000 children die every day due to water-related diseases. These numbers are staggering, but there is hope! Filter of Hope has developed a simple, inexpensive, easy to use water filter that will provide a family with up to 150 gallons of clean water per day and will last for up to 10 years or longer. By helping meet this physical need we earn the right to talk with people about their greatest spiritual need. The visual aid of the water filter provides an easy transition into sharing about Jesus, the Living Water.
