Acts 6:1-8

"Just follow Jesus and your problems will go away!" How many people have been sold that line only to learn that their problems increase? The early believers did not experience a cessation of problems either. Quite the contrary. They experienced an expansion of problems, personally and corporately. Personally, in chapters 4 and 5 of Acts, we have seen the apostles arrested, intimated, threatened, and beaten. Today we will discover problems expanding corporately in the church. The key to viewing problems is to see them as opportunities in disguise. There are three great opportunities when problems are dealt with appropriately.

1. Problems provide an opportunity for self-evaluation, vv. 1-4.

2. Problems provide an opportunity for leadership development, vv. 5-8.

3. Problems provide an opportunity to express love.

When problems come, you can be part of the problem, or you can be part of the solution.
